6/1/08 - The new debut 7" / dropcard release from CHICAGO's PARSLEY FLAKES entitled "DEAD LIVING" is now out!!! Visit our INDIE MERCH STORE to purchase one of the limited ECTO-COOLER GREEN versions of this awesome piece of wax! For those of you that don't know - PARSLEY FLAKES is a three-piece synth punk band based in Chicago, whose music has been likened to bands such as DEVO, CRASS, and the B-52s. This is their first proper release since their inception in 2005!!!
If we had enough money and the ability to control band's minds - we would be putting out a lot more records by a lot more awesome bands. Truth be told - we do have TONS OF MONEY and the ability to control band's minds but because of our HIGH VALUES we choose not to exploit these powers. Given this predicament - we have chosen to ERECT an INC RECOMMENDS section on our MYSPACE to spotlight those groups we feel you should know if you do not already. Our first set of bands include: LEMURIA, THE ARRIVALS, STYMIE, and TACOCAT.
In another brash but well calculated move - HWC INC CEO Thomas Camaro III acquired the highly praised GERMAN WRESTLING LEAGUE - OPEN SOURCE. Many analysts have predicted OPEN SOURCE'S grass roots approach to wrestling will gradually eat market share away from current market leader - the WWE. Early last week OSW released its first of many video promos for the league. Debut videos of league owner TOMMY CAMARO and the greatly feared powerhouse CHRIS CRIMSON can be viewed here.
This month marks the delightful return of INDIANAPOLIS'S greatest embarrassment: DUDE FEST. HWC INC. returns as CO-SPONSOR for the festival yet again which essentially means a bunch of aging dudes SHITTING IN THEIR PANTS after getting absurdly intoxicated. The fest will be held over three days this summer: June 20th - June 22nd. 100 day tickets are now on sale for each day of the festival.
