Biography
The term "full-length" is relative to the record in question. Clocking in at just 14:21, "Ten Steps to Success" from Chicago-based illuminati He Who Corrupts is a "full-length" in the loosest sense. Upon listening to this record for the first time, something didn't feel right in my body. To be honest, I was a little uncomfortable. I felt like someone who had just witnessed a public suicide but couldn't bring themselves to look away. I wanted more.

Due out this summer courtesy of Chicago's Sinister Label and Forge Again Records as well as California's 625 Thrash, "Ten Steps to Success" avoids the trap that most bands fall into when they decide to experiment with their sound. He Who Corrupts successfully brings something fresh to the table without coming across as pretentious, sloppy, or any of the other pitfalls that come along with boring bands trying to be arty.

Founded from the ashes of numerous Chicago hardcore outfits[Kung Fu Rick, Suburban Refugee, Little Man Complex, etc], the men of He Who Corrupts are pushing their music to its highest possible profit margins. With the release of "Ten Steps to Success," the band are using their creative juices to their utmost potential by combining insane harmonies, time signatures, and vocals with your grindcore staples of palm muting, 1000 MPH blast beats, and breakdowns.

An uncompromising "full-length," "Ten Steps to Success" is the bitch-slap that the hardcore scene needs right now. With the release of this record, uncreative and bad bands should just break up and potential imitators shouldn't even bother. He Who Corrupts is an underfed dog with a small child locked in its jaws, so just give up and prepare to be torn apart.

Discography

    HEWHOCORRUPTS
    Microeconomics
    CDEP (HWC016)

As any high performing organization would, Hewhocorrupts continues to out perform past offerings by putting forth a bold and innovative new 3" credit card sized CDEP, appropriately titled Microeconomics. Further capitalizing [no pun intended] on their 2006 strategic marketing campaign "Knowing Your Wallet", Microeconomics has pushed packaging standards, opting to be incased in an actual wallet instead of the industry standard jewel case. Complete with a receipt, wallet size band photos, and the ever so important business card, analysts have already started to recast HWC earnings predictions for the 4th quarter. Microeconomics was the brainchild of the international alignment of several industry powerhouses including: Level Plane, Eugenics Record Label, Hewhocorrupts Inc., Mike Fitzgerald Records, and Bloom Explode.

    HEWHOCORRUPTS / TUSK
    S/T
    CDEP (HWC004)

There is just too much going on here. On one side you have the helicopter grind kings, Tusk, from Chicago tearing their way through two tracks of wind tunnel metal. On the other side, the corporate skundrels from the Chicago loop district unleash their bank accounts on you with four tracks about young boys and such. A definite must for fans of the fast pace, brick in the face, sound. This release marks some of the earliest recorded material for both bands.
