97-shiki

97-SHIKI play loud, weird, frantic, angular, underground / rock / punk / hardcore music. Sounding like a mashup of many of their previous bands, FOURTH ROTOR (Kammy Lee & Douglas Ward), V.REVERSE (Patrick Scott and Douglas), WEATHER, KILL SADIE, MY LAI (Patrick), HEWHOCORRUPTS, KUNG FU RICK (Ryan Durkin) to name a few.

It’s a band with four strong personalities that get ideas out through driving, pulsing, cutting tunes. With a long shared background in the Chicago DiY underground music scene, 97-shiki is already touring and self releasing music. Playing out since Spring 2008, look for 97-SHIKI to be making noise and venting their heads in basements, houses, clubs and halls all over the place in the months and years to come.
