“HEWHOCORRUPTS INC has been around for close to ten years now. For the majority of those years I’ve been lucky enough to have a great label partner who shares many of the same ethics and aspirations I hold - Andy Slania.
I first met Andy in high school by means of a handwritten letter. He played in a band called ATFO at the time which stood for Abolish the Football Organization. He wrote me to see if my “cassette only” record label - AFRO PUBES RECORDS - would release his band who just recorded a killer song called “Officer Friendless” that “everyone in their area was going crazy over”. I ended up releasing ATFO and the cassette went on to be my best selling release on Afro Pubes - 300 copies!!! - mostly sold out of backpacks!!!
Anyhow, since releasing ATFO I’ve yet to have the pleasure of releasing another one of Andy’s bands…until now. TENSION GENERATION is Andy’s latest effort - a straight forward, no nonsense punk band from our backyard - CHICAGO.”
