5/1/08 - Our upcoming debut 7" / dropcard release with CHICAGO based PARSLEY FLAKES entitled "DEAD LIVING" is quickly approaching - June 10th 2008!!! We're super excited for this release. Good band, good dudes and dudette, good full circle. Could this be the record that finally establishes that we are NOT A GRINDCORE LABEL?!?!? We hope so...something needs to put an end to the continuous ONSLAUGHT of utterly horrible METAL CORE demos we receive!!! The FLAKES are exactly what we feel there needs to be more of - folks playing whatever and however they want - but maintaining the punk ethic. Glass raised!
Our final copies of RUSSIAN CIRCLES debut "ENTER" LP are now available at our INDIE MERCH STORE!!! Stocked are a few more copies on clear red, black/red splatter, and black/white splatter. The band will be taking over the release after this pressing is sold through. In other RUSSIAN CIRCLES news - their newest album entitled - "Station" is set for release on May 6th 2008. The band will embark on a US tour shortly thereafter. Dates are available on the band's MYSPACE site.
Information for the mighty 2008 DUDE FEST held in Indianapolis, IN is now available!!! The fest will be held over three days this summer: June 20th - June 22nd. Unlike previous years - three 21 and over shows have been added to follow the regular day shows!!! This means if you attend these night events you might be able to share a beer with Josh or Greg from PLAGUE BRINGER as they endlessly babble about the TV show LOST or if you're lucky, John from HEWHOCORRUPTS might be drunk enough to give you the true number of CARS that he has purchased throughout his life!!! Whatever your motive, this is one not to miss...especially with some of these attendees...TORCHE, COLISEUM, PLAGUE BRINGER, PIG DESTROYER, DESPISE YOU, PHOENIX BODIES, LORDS, GAZA, GET RAD, WEEKEND NACHOS, SWEET COBRA, KYLESA, KUNGFU RICK, IRON LUNG, GRAF ORLOCK...shit...my hands hurt...so many more...
A lot of cool upcoming releases - though not ours - are coming together that we think you should know about. First up is RELAPSE RECORDS "Drum Machine Gun II" compilation featuring tracks from among others...GENGHIS TRON, PLAGUE BRINGER, DELTA 9, and WADGE. HEWHOCORRUPTS will re-enter the market with two new offerings as well. The first will be a split 10 inch record with INDIANANPOLIS love tarts PHOENIX BODIES. This record is planned to be released on BLACK MARKET ACTIVITIES and will come with a disturbing calendar featuring the musicians in various states...?!?!? HWC will also be sharing another release - this time a split 7 inch - with the EAST MOLINE, IL sensation - CHICA X!!! Though the mighty X still hasn't reached double digits age wise - this 7 YEAR OLD vocalist has some excellent stuff cookin! Don't miss this record!!!
